Abstract

SMEs in Mexico occupy an important place in the country's economy, since they represent around 98% of the companies that exist in Mexico and contribute 44% to the Gross Domestic Product, generating 68% of the jobs in our Country.

If we consider that since the beginning of the modern era in the 1940s, the State was already contemplating how to support this type of companies so that they could continue their logical growth, such as: the microenterprise becoming small, and being in medium and medium in large companies, with the purpose of serving a broader market that does not necessarily have to be local, but regional, national and even international.

One of the most frequent problems is the lack of financing from both private banks and development banks. The Federal Government has mainly created support for this sector to strengthen and increase its participation in the Gross Domestic Product, through tax advantages considering them as Small Taxpayers, Intermediate Regime Individuals and the creation of Institutions such as Nacional Financiera for financing support.
