BIOGRAPHICAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS: ARE THEY SUCCESS FACTORS IN ORGANIZATIONS?
Keywords:
Biographical characteristics, Organizational characteristics, Company successAbstract
In order to test whether the biographical characteristics of the leader and the characteristics of the organization have an effect on the success of the company, this research was developed in a sample of 110 owners and managers of small and medium-sized companies in San Luis Potosí. A questionnaire was applied with questions related to the profile of the organization and the individual. On the matrix of data obtained, the multivariate multiple regression technique was applied to identify the factors that contribute most to success. The results showed that the number of employees and technology, as well as the locus of control of the job and seniority in the person's position, directly impact the success of the organization. However, age, gender, marital status, business experience, productive sector, period of establishment, level of participation and structure do not exert significant influence on the participation of success in these companies.
