The locus of control of the work of the owner and administrator. Is it a key factor for the success of the company?

The purpose of this study was to investigate if there was a difference between the owner and manager of the SMEs in San Luis Potosi in relation to the locus of control and to demonstrate if there is a significant correlation between locus of control variable and success of the company. The leaders who participated were 58 owners and 52 managers, the information was obtained through the questionnaire of locus of control of work of Spector (1988), to analyze data the statistical technique Independent Samples Test and Pearson correlation was used. The results confirm that the locus of control is a variable that allows the owner and administrator to categorize, besides, in this study was found that the locus of control contributes to the success of the company’s leader.
