Currently the study of social, political and cultural phenomena is in vogue in historical studies, which has led some Clío scholars to believe that the study of economic history as a genre of historical research is unimportant. ; Not to mention, they look at him with disdain. This position is also found in the field of economics, which has led different economics education institutions to reduce economic history courses in their curricula.
Despite the above, curiously Mexico is one of the countries where there is great interest in the topic and where the most studies are being carried out, as demonstrated by the numerous academic conferences, books and articles that have been prepared on the same over the years. and to which the Vértice Universitario Magazine of the Division of Administrative Economic Sciences of the University of Sonora has contributed since its creation ten years ago.
