Importance of the competences in the human capital to achieve management aimed at organizational performance of SME’s

Survival in increasingly competitive markets, requires organizations seeking continuous improvement and excellence in order to improve their market position. Currently organizations, and especially the small and medium companies (SMBs), are in constant change. The intensity of competing grows increasingly and the need to improve performance is important. In these times, the performance of employees is importantto know how to choose the course of action that best suits the organization. In this context, competencies in the human capital inside the SME’s, have focused fundamentally the importance of these, to become in one competitive advantage for the company, and therefore, a source of organizational performance. From this perspective, arises that human capital is a critical factor to achieve the mission of the company. Thus, it is precise to develop human capital that may assume competently the specific responsibilities that help in the application of business strategies. In this article, it is therefore intended to know what are the characteristics of SME’s in Mexico, that are competences, the competence management and what has been it’s utility in managing human capital, for those wishing delving in the theory competence and application and development.
