Reliability and validity of an instrument that measures the intended use of digital networks

If we consider the Internet as a network of intentional search for information would highlight a digital dividebetween those who use social networks for entertainment and fun against those seeking information on magazine pages. In this sense, we conducted a cross-sectional quantitative study with a nonrandom selection of 253 students of the State of Mexico to test the assumption of
eight dimensions of the intention of seeking information for academic purposes. A scale was constructed to measure the psychosocial variable and to establish normal distribution, reliability and validity. From a structural model [X2 = 24.36 (16gl) p = 0.000; GFI = 1.000; RMR = 0.000 ], anxiety factor was reflective of the construct “Red Intentional” (ß = 0.53) in reference to the other seven specified dimensions, the findings of the state of knowledge and the conceptual framework, the contribution of this research was discussed.
