Abstract

The problem of the crisis in the pension system is visible not only in Mexico, but also in other countries, and this system can break the country's economy, since pension systems are the cornerstone of Social Security.

The evolution of the pension system in our Higher Education Institutions (HEI) endorses the great concern of their employees to be able to participate with serious and duly analyzed contributions, without partisan purposes but with a sense of labor and social security.

This article will seek to analyze this situation from a Latin American perspective, and to bring it down to earth to the Mexican case, considering the specific peculiarities of the latter.
